“That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.” Proverbs 2:20
I had no idea good was an option. Having been taught that all men were dogs and that all women were out to get men, underneath it all (apparently) I thought that everyone settled in one way or another and that “manageable” was as good as good as it would ever get. I now know the Truth… 🙂
The truth of the matter is that some people DON’T settle and “manageable” is far from being as good as it gets! In fact, in hindsight, if I’d read and understood Isaiah 7:13-16 then I would have known that critically important truth all along!
“And he said, Hear ye now, O house of David; Is it a small thing for you to weary men, but will ye weary my God also?
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the evil, and choose the good.
For before the child shall know to refuse the evil, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings.” Isaiah 7:13-16
I WANT YOU TO KNOW THE TRUTH!
The truth is that good isn’t just AN option for the saint! FOR THE SAINT, GOOD IS THE ONLY RIGHTEOUS OPTION! It is actually our RESPONSIBILITY to refuse evil and choose good! Just as the antichrist will tempt humanity before the return of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ (the true Messiah), the false and evil often tempts the individual before the arrival of the true and good. I NOW KNOW that it’s OUR RESPONSIBILITY as believers in Christ Jesus not to be deceived!
“Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience.” Ephesians 5:6
“Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;
And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.
Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him.” Matthew 4: 8-11
“And, behold, two of them went that same day to a village called Emmaus, which was from Jerusalem about threescore furlongs.
And they talked together of all these things which had happened.
And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them.
But their eyes were holden that they should not know him.
And he said unto them, What manner of communications are these that ye have one to another, as ye walk, and are sad?
And the one of them, whose name was Cleopas, answering said unto him, Art thou only a stranger in Jerusalem, and hast not known the things which are come to pass there in these days?
And he said unto them, What things? And they said unto him, Concerning Jesus of Nazareth, which was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people:
And how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him to be condemned to death, and have crucified him.
But we trusted that it had been he which should have redeemed Israel: and beside all this, to day is the third day since these things were done.
Yea, and certain women also of our company made us astonished, which were early at the sepulchre;
And when they found not his body, they came, saying, that they had also seen a vision of angels, which said that he was alive.
And certain of them which were with us went to the sepulchre, and found it even so as the women had said: but him they saw not.
Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken:
Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
And they drew nigh unto the village, whither they went: and he made as though he would have gone further.
But they constrained him, saying, Abide with us: for it is toward evening, and the day is far spent. And he went in to tarry with them.
And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them.
And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight.” Luke 24:13-31
Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ gave us the perfect example of refusing evil and choosing good! He was completely and wholly unaffected by the devil’s juvenile schemes; He waited patiently and faithfully for His promotion from our Blessed Heavenly Father GOD!
I want you to know, understand and fully appreciate the fact that it’s your/our RESPONSIBILITY to choose good/do the same! We’re living in the last days! False prophets like Kanye West are not even close to being the worst of what we will see, nevertheless we can’t afford to allow a known devil worshipper (i.e. a ravenous wolf) to slip into the fold.
WE MUST WAIT ON THE LORD!
“For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.
And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.
And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:
That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.” 2 Thessalonians 2:7-12
“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.” Matthew 24:24
“For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.” Mark 13:22
“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31
BE NOT DECEIVED; promotion in the kingdom of darkness is night/day different (literally) from promotion in the Kingdom of GOD! Wait on the Lord! And, He Himself will rise up within the men and women HE’S CHOSEN to lead! REFUSE THE EVIL! CHOOSE THE GOOD! CHOOSE TO CONFORM TO THE IMAGE OF GOD’S SON, REFUSE TO CONFORM TO THIS CRUEL AND EVIL WORLD!
“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.” Psalm 75:6-8
“Many seek the ruler’s favour; but every man’s judgment cometh from the LORD.” Proverbs 29:26
“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.” Romans 8:28-29
“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:1-2
KNOW THE TRUTH!
“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6
“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32
“Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
Do not err, my beloved brethren.
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.
Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.” James 1:12-18
